The Safe Space for Women and Girls in Al-Wadi district of Marib Governorate received Muneeb Al-Shawish, Protection Assistant Officer at the International Organization for Migration’s (IOM) office in Marib, where he and his accompanying delegation were briefed on the space’s services for the advancement of Yemeni women, praising its important interventions to help the neediest families.
During the visit, an external referral mechanism was agreed upon regarding cash assistance, needs of people with special needs, livelihood projects, and some other interventions.
15 bags were approved for people with special needs, consisting of electric mattress, a stroller, and cleaning tools for this most vulnerable group to alleviate their suffering.
HUMAN ACCESS in Marib manages the safe space for women and girls within the Protection and Livelihood Support Project, funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), in order to empower women in Yemen and support their rights in line with human rights and dignity.
