Basic Information about the Position
Position Title: Legal Specialist
Number of Vacancies: 2
Duty Station: Taiz (Jabal Habashi) – Lahj
Contract Duration: 3 months

Overall Purpose of the Position
To meet with internally displaced persons (IDPs) to identify their legal issues and report them to the designated space for follow-up.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Prepare monthly and quarterly plans for awareness activities and life skills programs.
- Implement planned activities according to the schedule.
- Meet referred cases daily from case management and provide necessary legal advice.
- Conduct field and office awareness sessions to raise legal awareness among target groups.
- Coordinate with local authorities, including civil status offices, to facilitate issuance of legal documents in coordination with the designated space.
- Document and prepare success stories.
- Contribute to developing tools and mechanisms for legal awareness.
- Advocate for groups at risk of gender-based violence.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on awareness programs.
- Identify strengths and weaknesses and propose corrective measures.
- Attend regular meetings.
- Participate in any meetings or training sessions as assigned.
- Carry out tasks assigned within the scope of the project.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Sharia and Law or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the same field.
- English language proficiency is an advantage.

- Computer literacy, including data entry and archiving.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to complete tasks and provide timely feedback.
- Ability to write daily and monthly reports.
