As part of broader efforts to boost basic healthcare in Yemen, HUMAN ACCESS in Hadhramaut Governorate trained 36 midwives and nurses working in the field of reproductive health on how to deal with emergency cases in the delivery room in three beneficiary health facilities: Al-Dees Al-Sharqiya Hospital, Shahir Health Center, and Mayfa’ Center for Motherhood and Childhood.
The training program lasted for 6 days as part of the activities of the Reproductive Health Services Support Project, funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
This training was designed to enhance the skills of health workers in order to improve the health and survival of women, reduce the number of maternal and infant deaths during and after childbirth, and increase the quality of reproductive health services.
