The HUMAN ACCESS team in Lahj governorate conducted 23 focus group discussions with refugees in Kharaz camp and beneficiaries of the integrated project funded by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) with the goal of conducting a multi-sectoral evaluation of the project that benefits about 9,000 refugees in the camp in addition to about 3,000 beneficiaries from the host community.
In this session held over 3 days as part of an annual procedure, protection gaps and existing risks were identified, as well as the needs required to fill those gaps and mitigate risks.
A key objective of the sessions was to enhance refugee and asylum seeker protection, improve planning for the upcoming year, and increase humanitarian interventions to support refugees that Yemen has been hosting for many years.
