As an important part of the humanitarian response efforts and with funding from United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), HUMAN ACCESS in Lahj Governorate delivered medical and in-kind items to the reproductive health department at Ras Al-Arah Rural Hospital in Al-Madharibah Wa Ras Al-Arah district, as part of the ongoing support offered by the Reproductive Health Services Support Project.
Medical supplies and in-kind materials were delivered during the fourth quarter of the year 2022, including 41 emergency medicines for obstetrics and neonatal, hygiene and sterilization supplies, and pregnancy test kits for laboratory use. To improve reproductive health services, which are crucial to human safety, the project targeted approximately 800 beneficiary women per month.
The project to support reproductive health services facilitates building a healthier future and contributes to a reduction in maternal and newborn deaths during or following delivery by supporting reproductive health services.
Furthermore, due to the difficult conditions imposed by Yemen's ongoing crisis, the project also meets an important part of the huge needs for reproductive healthcare.
