HUMAN ACCESS in Lahj Governorate organized a training program in the field of obstetric emergencies, targeting 12 midwives in the obstetrics and gynecology department of Ras Al-Arah Rural Hospital in Al-Madaribah & Ras Al-Arah district within the continuous support provided by the reproductive health services support project, funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) as part of the basic healthcare.
The training included several topics, including information about the "partograph" birth chart and how to use it.
Additionally, the training was designed to improve the skills of health personnel in order to reduce maternal and newborn deaths during or after childbirth, and improve reproductive health care services in the country in order to ensure women have the best chance of health and survival.
