HUMAN ACCESS in Seiyun concluded activities of the project to combat female genital mutilation, funded by United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), which aims to limit wrong practices against females. The events involved workshops and training courses for health workers, local authority leaders, businessmen, merchants, and mosque preachers. Awareness and radio flashes were also broadcast on local and official radio channels.
At the closing ceremony, the director general of Seiyun district pointed to the importance of involving everyone in the fight against female genital mutilation and working to achieve the complete elimination of harmful practices and protection from gender-based violence, praising the humanitarian efforts of HUMAN ACCESS for its continuous support for these activities.
