In partnership with the Turkish Umuda organization, HUMAN ACCESS implemented Ramadan charity projects for this year 2023, which included the distribution of food baskets consisting of rice, sugar, cooking oil, dates and legumes for 500 poor and displaced families in the governorates of Hadhramaut and Lahj, in addition to delivering 2000 fasting meals in Hadhramaut
In light of the deterioration of livelihoods in Yemen due to the conflict, the projects are designed to meet the worsening needs of poor and affected families. A greater number of vulnerable families, including the displaced, adopted harsh strategies to reduce their food consumption in order to survive, which was exacerbated by the high price of basic food.
