Under the slogan (Your sacrifices are a joy for them), About 600 thousand people in all Yemen’s governorates will benefit from the sacrificial meat project
Dr. Abdulwase Alwasea, Secretary General of HUMAN ACCESS, confirmed that ACCESS has completed all arrangements, preparations and equipment to implement the sacrifice project for this year 1442 AH, under the slogan “Your sacrifices are a joy for them” in all governorates of Yemen through coordination and cooperation with a number of organizations, agencies and supporting personalities at home and abroad.
Dr. Alwasea said that HUMAN ACCESS attaches great importance to the sacrifice project, as it brings joy and happiness to the hearts of the poor, displaced, needy families and orphans during the days of Eid al-Adha. It is expected that about 100,000 families, comprising 600,000 people, will benefit from the project. This includes the distribution of (11,000) sacrifices of sheep and goats, and (2,000) sacrifices of cows in most governorates of the Republic.
Alwasea pointed out that the distribution depended on the percentage of the population and the rate of poverty in the different governorates and districts, with priority given in distributing meat to the most vulnerable, displaced and affected groups.
The secretary general also stressed HUMAN ACCESS’s keenness to observe the requirements of public safety and to take precautionary measures in the implementation of the project represented in cleaning barns, choosing appropriate places for slaughtering the sacrifice, and packing meat cleanly, praising the level of relationship and cooperation between HUMAN ACCESS and international, regional and local humanitarian organizations operating in Yemen, which have resulted in great efforts and support to thousands of people in Yemen.
Alwasea expressed his thanks and appreciation to all those who contributed to supporting and financing the project at home and abroad, calling for more voluntary efforts and the provision of necessary services in view of the growing need, especially in light of the current conditions in Yemen.
