Two trainings were conducted for health personnel of the Shahir Health Center and Maternity and Childhood Center
HUMAN ACCESS in Hadhramaut Governorate carried out two trainings on sexually transmitted diseases and the methods of placing and removing Birth Control Implants and IUDs. The first training involved 11 female health workers of the “Reproductive Health Services Project in Shahir Health Center in Gayl Bawazir District. The training addressed the long-term family planning methods such as implants and IUDs, and methods of insertion and removal.
While the second training, which was attended by 9 women health workers of the Maternity and Childhood Center in Mayfa’a, Mukalla, and Gay Bawazir districts, focused on many scientific subjects including sexually transmitted diseases, their types, symptoms, and complications, and the early diagnosis of such diseases and how to be treated.
Both trainings contributed to providing female participants with the knowledge and skills related to reproductive health. The trainings were part of the Reproductive Health Support Project, funded by United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
