HUMAN ACCESS in Shabwah and Marib governorates organized a number of targeted activities as part of the project "Providing Livelihood Services for the Most Vulnerable Women and Girls in Yemen," funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). The project’s key objective is to support and empower women in challenging circumstances.

In Ataq city, Shabwah, on the occasion of the International Day of Charity 2025, the Executive Unit for the Management of Displaced Persons Camps in the governorate was honored with an honorary shield in recognition of its efforts in serving displaced persons forced by circumstances to leave their homes and their homeland.

On the occasion of International Literacy Day 2025, an awareness-raising session was held on the importance of education, attended by 15 women. A visit was also made to the Literacy and Adult Education Authority in Shabwah to coordinate the referral of women deprived of education to enable them to acquire reading and writing skills, as a human right.

In Marib, several activities were carried out in Al-Jufaina camp for IDPs, including providing emergency cash assistance to four women beneficiaries, group psychological support to 300 female students on stress management, positive thinking, and how to cope with failure, as well as the distribution of dignity kits to 70 women to enhance protection from violence.

The activities also included individual psychological support, telephone counseling, and activities for children. Community and legal awareness sessions were also conducted, addressing the importance of identification documents, child custody and alimony, the importance of education, and steps to positive change in life, to raise awareness of women's issues and rights.

In Al-Rawdah area and Al-Mil IDP camps, quarterly meetings were held with the peer network, community committees, and the working group to address shortcomings, build on strengths, and discuss ways to renew and develop performance to serve women and girls, as well as everything that protects and promotes human rights.
