HUMAN ACCESS, a team from the World Food Program (WFP), and representatives of the local authority in Lahj Governorate, namely Omar Al-Samati, Advisor to the Governor of the Governorate, and Hisham Al-Saqqaf, Director General of the Planning Office in the Governorate, discussed in a meeting arrangement to start distributing cash assistance to 79,544 targeted families in Lahj, as part of the General Food Assistance Project (GFA).
HUMAN ACCESS in Lahj is currently implementing the food aid project, funded by WFP, to secure food for the vulnerable and help improve food availability within local communities.
The project’s services extend to cash assistance to enable the vulnerable to meet their basic needs. The most important thing is to break the cycle of hunger in Yemen and prevent a more severe deterioration.
