As part of the International Literacy Day activities, and in the context of the Protection and Livelihood Support Project, financed by United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), HUMAN ACCESS inaugurated a training course for literacy teachers in Seiyun district under the slogan (Literacy is our goal, and quality education is our way).

The training designed to empower 20 female teachers from Seiyun district with the necessary skills and knowledge for quality education in order to achieve sustainable development and eradicate ignorance and illiteracy.

At the opening ceremony, the director general of the General Administration for Literacy and Adult Education in the Wadi and Sahara spoke about the reality of education and the challenges facing education. He pointed to the most important needs that must be secured, foremost of which are education services in coordination with local authority and the Ministry of Education represented in the opening of 6 new literacy classes in the Wadi and Sahara districts of Hadhramaut.

The educational official added that three literacy centers that were opened are currently operating, and 100 new literacy classes have been added in the districts to encourage the outputs of literacy and develop it in society, combat illiteracy, and ensure the continuation of education.

At the end of his speech, he praised the efforts made by HUMAN ACCESS organization to secure the needs of adult education.
