HUMAN ACCESS, represented by its Executive Director, Riyadh Mohammed, is participating in the Second World Summit for Social Development 2025, which commenced in Qatar under the auspices of the United Nations, with the participation of heads of state and government and representatives of civil society from around the world.

This summit, held in Doha, Qatar, from November 4 to 6, comes thirty years after the first World Summit for Social Development, which took place in Copenhagen in 1995. The current summit aims to renew the collective commitment to advancing social development and to give new impetus to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The Second World Summit for Social Development provides a crucial platform for global dialogue and joint action to discuss social development issues at the highest levels and to build more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable societies, ensuring that no one is left behind in the global journey of sustainable development.

At the conclusion of its proceedings, the summit will adopt a political declaration, previously agreed upon in New York.

HUMAN ACCESS remains committed to people-centered development and continues to promote social justice and inclusivity by investing in critical priorities such as poverty eradication, decent work for all, social protection, climate resilience, and investment in women and girls.

In a press statement, Riyadh Mohammed said that HUMAN ACCESS, as an organization with a long history of humanitarian work, places people at the heart of the development process and looks forward to working with donors, local, international, and UN organizations to accelerate global action on inclusive social development, promote human dignity, enhance well-being for all, and build a more inclusive, just, and sustainable world.
