HUMAN ACCESS, represented by Dr. Abdulwase Alwasai, Secretary General of the Association, participated in the European Humanitarian Forum, which was held from May 19-20 in Brussels, Belgium.
The forum was attended by humanitarian leaders from various countries and organizations under the chairmanship of the European Commission for Crisis Management and with the support of the Polish government.
The forum is an opportunity to discuss everything that concerns the global humanitarian community and the global challenges facing the third sector.
The forum was attended by a select group of humanitarian leaders from around the world. A key theme of this year's forum was the sector's suffering from a significant funding shortfall, which has limited humanitarian relief and development activities and the need to seek appropriate alternatives.
HUMAN ACCESS's participation in this forum comes as part of its endeavors to enhance efforts to develop humanitarian work and find effective solutions to the pressing problems facing it in Yemen.
The forum's program involved panel discussions and interactive workshops that addressed humanitarian priorities and challenges, and explored ways to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by leveraging the interconnected approach between humanitarian action and development.
