Sponsored by HUMAN ACCESS, Yemen International Agency for Development, International Centre for Human Values and Cultural Cooperation, WORID HUMANITARIAN ACTION FORUM, PURE HANDS, and Humanitarian Academy for Development, the Forum "Dimensions of International Humanitarian Action and its Relationship to Resource Development" was launched on the last Tuesday in presence of heads and chairs of Turkish and Arab humanitarian organizations and associations.
The Forum sessions, undertaken from 26-28 current July,
reviewed the dimensions of international humanitarian action, the means and methods of developing the financial resources, and mechanisms for obtaining support and donations from international and governmental funds, in addition to drawing upon the current experiences and successful practices in the field of international humanitarian action, as well as sharing expertise among participants from local and international organizations, particularly in how to communicate with international organizations. The sessions were convened in presence of a distinguished group of humanitarian action leaders.
The Forum seeks to deviate from the traditional way of administering workshops, where it focuses on humanitarian work dimensions in a dynamic and professional manner. The Forum also seeks to develop a new vision, which establishes and consolidates the spirit, values, principles, and perception of humanitarian action.
This is aimed at transforming the dimensions group of the international humanitarian action into an integrated dimensional group including the professional, dynamic, philosophical, intellectual, cultural, and historical dimensions of humanitarian action, according to the Forum's literature.
