On the occasion of the Arab and World Orphan Days, HUMAN ACCESS implemented through the orphan sponsorship and care sector in the governorates of Hadhramaut, Taiz, and Marib multiple events and activities to celebrate the occasion, with a massive participation of orphans and their families, and the events contributed to bringing joy and pleasure to the hearts of orphans, and mobilizing community efforts to advocate for orphans’ issues, care and qualify them, to be tools for building and development in the community.
Marib Governorate
HUMAN ACCESS carried out the activities of the World Orphan’s Day, which falls on the fifteenth of Ramadan each year. Where this event was launched with a concert and a speech under the slogan (You are not alone.. We are with you).
At the ceremony, Dr. Abdu Rabbo Miftah, Undersecretary of Marib Governorate, when attending the ceremonial event, stressed the importance and prestige of sponsoring orphans, praising the efforts of HUMAN ACCESS in the care and sponsorship of orphans.
For his part, Professor Nabil Lotf, director of the Office of HUMAN ACCESS in Marib, emphasized the need to pay attention and care for orphans, raising their education, and educating them well. That is to inabiling them to build the society and the nation's service, explaining that HUMAN ACCESS has been taken that since its establishment in 1990, providing integrated services to teaching orphans, health, socially, and psychologically; with their families, providing them with training, vocational rehabilitation so that they will be able to continue their own life. The ceremony included so many phases such as songs and plays, expressing the suffering of orphans and their aspirations to a bright tomorrow.
In Hadhramaut Governorate
Coinciding with the Arab Orphan Day, which falls on the first of April of each year, HUMAN ACCESS implemented an open day for orphans in Mukalla and Seiyun, with the participation of 170 orphans. It Implemented lot if awareness all of which contributed to bringing joy and happiness to the hearts of orphans, and discovering their talents and abilities with the aim of refining and developing them.
In Taiz Governorate
A number of various events were held, including visiting gardens and parks, holding a group breakfast, conducting cultural competitions, distributing gifts and games for children, in addition to raising awareness and family guidance for participating mothers of orphans on parenting skills and modifying negative behaviors among orphans, which contributed to bringing joy and happiness to the hearts of children who spend interesting and useful moments.
