In a new step toward sustainable development, HUMAN ACCESS handed over the Al-Khadashiyah well project in the village of Al-Khadashiyah, Tor Al-Bahah District, Lahj Governorate, following the completion of the well's rehabilitation with funding from AusRelief.

The handover ceremony took place in the village amidst great joy over this achievement, which serves 260 families. Residents expressed their immense happiness with the project, noting its effective contribution to meeting the growing need for clean water.

Yemen is among the world's most water-scarce nations, ranking at the bottom of the list regarding water poverty; the challenge of providing safe drinking water remains one of the greatest hurdles facing the Yemeni people.
