
In the city of Ataq, Shabwah Governorate, HUMAN ACCESS organized a workshop on "Gender-Based Violence." attended by 50 women.
The workshop was part of the project "Providing Livelihood Services to the Most Vulnerable Women and Girls in Yemen," funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
The workshop discussed the issue of gender-based violence, which is one of the most widespread, persistent, and devastating human rights violations in the world today. It creates serious obstacles to the participation of women and girls in public life.
The workshop was designed to bring awareness to the issue of violence against women and to reduce its spread by exploring the concept, forms, and causes of violence.
