With the support of our partners, 13,875 orphans across most Yemeni governorates benefited from Ramadan charity projects this year (1447 AH - 2026). These projects were implemented by the Orphan Sponsorship and Care Sector of HUMAN ACCESS during the holy month of Ramadan.
The Ramadan charity projects for orphans included distributing food baskets containing a variety of items, delivering ready-made meals for Iftar (breaking the fast), organizing group Iftar meals, providing cash assistance, and distributing Eid clothing, gifts, and toys.
This vital Ramadan aid stems from our social responsibility towards this most vulnerable and needy group. It brought joy and happiness to the orphans and their families, alleviated their burdens, and contributed to spreading the spirit of social solidarity.
In a press statement, Dr. Abdulwase Al-Wasai, Secretary-General of HUMAN ACCESS, expressed his deep gratitude to all the supporters who contributed to the association's efforts during the month of Ramadan, helping to alleviate the burdens on orphans' families and bring joy to the hearts of orphans who yearn for someone to compensate them, even in a small way, for what they have lost.
The Orphan Sponsorship and Care sector was the first sector launched by HUMAN ACCESS since its establishment in 1990. This sector has formed the core of the association's humanitarian work and is now the largest orphan sponsorship organization in Yemen.
