Health kits were distributed by HUMAN ACCESS in Hadhramaut Governorate to 120 displaced women living in Al-Khazzan and Samoun camps for the displaced in Al-Shihr district, in conjunction with the Psychosocial Support Center project at Al-Shihr General Hospital, funded by United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to improve reproductive health services for forcibly displaced people.
The conflict has seriously affected the delivery of reproductive health care in Yemen, including safe childbirth.
The distribution of health kits comes to reduce the complications and deaths of mothers and newborns during childbirth in the displacement camps due to the risks associated with giving birth away from health facilities and in light of the camps' lack of basic medical services.
