Position: Livelihood Projects Specialist

Number of vacancies: One

Location: Aden Governorate

Contract duration: One year

Job Purpose:

Assist in the preparation of livelihood and economic empowerment projects and supervise their implementation according to the plans and activities specified in the project manual. Ensure compliance with quality and accountability standards and achieve sustainable impact on beneficiaries, in coordination with relevant stakeholders inside and outside the association.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Prepare and implement work plans for livelihood projects in coordination with the technical and administrative team.

- Coordinate with partner organizations and the local community to ensure effective project implementation.

- Provide field supervision for various activities (training – financial support – grants – economic initiatives – vocational training...).

- Prepare and review periodic progress reports (weekly/monthly/final) and submit them to the direct supervisor.

- Monitor financial disbursement for activities in coordination with the finance department and ensure adherence to the allocated budget.

- Submit recommendations to improve performance and develop implementation mechanisms for the projects.

- Document and archive all project-related documents and data.

- Monitor success stories, challenges, and lessons learned from project implementation.

- Commit to protection policies, accountability, and humanitarian standards during work.

- Perform any other tasks within the scope of work assigned by the direct supervisor.

- Assist in the preparation of livelihood projects in coordination with the sector head.

- Follow up on activity implementation according to standards of the Food Security Cluster.

- Submit periodic reports on the progress of activities to the sector and donors.

- Carry out any other tasks within the scope of work.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Development, or a related field.

- Minimum of two years’ experience in managing or implementing livelihood or similar projects.

- Good level of English language proficiency.

- Ability to engage with local communities and understand their needs.

- Previous experience working with civil society organizations or donors is preferred.

- Time management and organization: ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and accurately.

Other Requirements

- Physically and mentally fit with full use of the five senses.

- Ability to sit for long periods in front of a computer.

- Advanced level of English proficiency.
