Human Access for Partnership and Development (HUMAN ACCESS) announces its need to fill the following vacant position:
Job Title: Child Protection Officer
Number Required: One

Contract Duration: Sixteen months

Job Scope:
Providing technical and field support for child protection activities and ensuring program implementation in accordance with established child protection standards, including responding to cases of violence, neglect, and exploitation, and facilitating access to essential services for affected children and their families in the association's areas of operation.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Implement child protection and education activities in the targeted areas under its responsibilities, including awareness-raising, psychosocial support, case management, and all associated activities according to the project plan.
- Participate in conducting protection assessments for children at risk and documenting cases in accordance with approved policies and procedures.
- Participate in assessing the specific needs of children and the local community in coordination with the field team.
- Ensure the confidentiality of information regarding children and their families and adhering to the association's child protection policies.
- Contribute to raising community awareness about child protection issues and their rights.
- Coordinate internal (between project components) and external referrals to ensure children receive appropriate services (health, psychological, legal, educational, etc.).
- Support capacity-building for field teams in the field of child protection through training and technical supervision.
- Prepare daily and weekly reports on activities and documented cases and submit them to the direct supervisor.
- Participate in training and coordination meetings with the working groups and the Child Protection Cluster in Taiz to highlight project interventions, representing HUMAN ACCESS.
- Coordinate with government agencies, NGOs, and local communities to enhance community-based child protection responses.
- Contribute to the development of assessment tools, templates, and monitoring and evaluation mechanisms for child protection activities.
- Adhere to HUMAN ACCESS policies and practices, including the Code of Conduct and relevant administrative policies.
- Carry out any other project-related tasks assigned by the Project Manager.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- A university degree in social sciences, psychology, social work, or a related field.
- At least two years of experience in child protection or related humanitarian fields.
- Experience working with non-governmental or community-based organizations is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English.

- High-level oral and written communication skills, with an outstanding ability to prepare professional technical and administrative reports.

- Skilled in preparing reports and collecting field data.
- Commitment to humanitarian values and principles of humanitarian action.
- Ability to work under pressure and in challenging environments.
- Proficiency in using computers (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
