Project Background
The Girls’ Protection and Empowerment Project – Phase II aims to strengthen community protection systems for girls most at risk of violence, exploitation, and denial of rights. It builds on achievements from Phase I, which raised awareness on child rights, child marriage, gender-based violence, and female genital mutilation. The project also develops referral mechanisms, provides specialized support services, expands prevention and response interventions, and enhances the capacities of abused girls through an entrepreneurial approach.
Overall Purpose of the Position
To support accurate, timely, and secure data entry, management, and reporting, ensuring high-quality documentation of project information and contributing to effective decision-making and compliance with donor requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter data into systems and databases accurately and on time.
- Review and verify data for accuracy and completeness; correct errors when necessary.
- Organize electronic and paper files for easy retrieval.
- Prepare periodic reports on data quality and status for project management.
- Contribute to developing procedures for data storage and archiving in line with organizational policies.
- Provide technical and administrative support to teams regarding data access and use.
- Ensure confidentiality and data protection in compliance with laws and policies.
- Participate in trainings and workshops related to data management.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and final narrative and statistical reports as required by donors.
- Ensure all beneficiary data is securely stored and protected against hacking, copying, or tampering.
- Collaborate with project staff to complete tasks on time.
- Adhere to organizational ethics and Code of Conduct.
- Comply with project working hours.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the Project Manager or donor.
Qualifications and Experience
- University degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in data management.
- Very good level of English.
- Proven experience in data entry and management.
Skills and Competencies
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Word and Excel.
- Skills in secure electronic data storage and archiving.
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools, especially Power BI.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills for managing data and reports.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Professional statistical reporting skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide timely feedback and complete tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with protection principles and case management.
Physical and Mental Requirements
- Physically healthy with sound senses.
- Accuracy and strong observation skills.
- Ability to sit for long periods at a computer.
- Fast data entry skills.
- Logical analytical ability.
