HUMAN ACCESS, in Marib Governorate, initiated awareness-raising activities through the Protection and Livelihood Support Project "Safe Space for Women and Girls", funded by UNFPA and King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), to promote women's rights, improve gender equality, and bring about real social change.

In Al-Jufaina area, the safe space carried out two awareness sessions, the first a community-based one on how to raise children and deal with them, targeting 12 visitors to the space.

The second session focused on the benefits of breastfeeding for the child and mother, with 12 women in attendance, as well as psychological support on effective communication skills in families and society, attended by 22 women.

Seven community awareness sessions were conducted in Al-Matar area by the safe space in the presence of numerous women and girls that addressed vital and important topics, such as the value of work for women, the dangers of early marriage, women’s rights to inheritance, the importance of a positive upbringing for children, good family values, skills acquisition and development, and the causes and treatment of domestic violence.

Additionally, two awareness sessions were held, the first on cholera to raise health awareness about this widespread disease, and the second on the importance of ID cards, in front of 20 female visitors to the space.

Furthermore, to develop and improve performance, the work team held a regular meeting to evaluate performance, take advantage of positives, and avoid negatives.
