Position: Data Analyst

Job Location: Kharaz camp

Duration of Assignment: 2 months (May - June 2024) and could be extendable until December 2024.

Report to: Activity coordinator/ Project coordinator

Background

Human Access for Partnership and Development (HUMAN ACCESS) is a non-governmental, independent, non-profit, humanitarian, developmental, charitable, voluntary, and community-based organization. It was established in March 1990 by an elite of volunteers and social personalities as a voluntary non-governmental organization.

The association has obtained an advisory membership with the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), and it is a member of the Department of Public Information for the Non-Governmental Organizations of the United Nations (DPI-NGO), a member of the Arab Union for Voluntary Work. It is also an active and accredited partner to various international organizations, the most important of which are the World Food Program (WFP), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA), and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

HUMAN ACCESS has also obtained memberships in several local, Arab, and international organizations and networks working in various fields of volunteer and humanitarian work. It, furthermore, obtained the international quality certificate ISO 9001: 2008, as a culmination of its institutional work.

This project is designed to protect refugees and asylum seekers and is entitled: “Enhancing protection and assistance to refugees & asylum seekers, provision of primary and secondary school education, infrastructure and field management, livelihood activities, and public health services in Kharaz camp, Lahj Governorate, and Basateen area in Aden Governorate”.

Overall Purpose:

Human Access provides case management for unaccompanied and separated children, SGBV survivors and people with specific needs (PwSNs) in Kharaz area. The target population is refugees, asylum seekers and migrants. These activities will take place through a mobile unit. Human Access also provides community services, including education and recreational activities for children and training for adults.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Draft a weekly report with data concerning case management or community center activities and submit a final draft to the Activity Coordinator weekly.
  2. Collaborate with the Activity Coordinator to provide information for the monthly reports.
  3. Update on a weekly basis the internal databases for case management and share it with DC
  4. Prepare/update monthly overview of SGBV & CP cases (gender, age, typology, referral, follow-up, and cash assistance info to be included) using GBV IMS system and internal database.
  5. Revise when requested by the Activity Coordinator any documents related to case management (BIA, Referral forms etc.).
  6. Assist in providing information and analysis for the bi-annual trend analysis on GBV, CP and PWSNs cases.
  7. Participate on a monthly basis with the Activity Coordinator on the case management review.
  8. Record the cash assistance provided by Human Access and ensure a regular analysis of this data.
  9. Translate any documents related to the activities implementation when requested.
  10. Support the legal coordinator when needed in translations or preparations of emails in coordination with the reporting officer.
  11. Be in charge of the management of stationary, cleaning materials and refreshment materials reporting to the DC
  12. Attend all meetings when requested by the Activity Coordinator.
  13. Attend all trainings when requested by the Activity Coordinator.
  14. Accomplish any other tasks requested by the Activity Coordinator.

Supervision:

The Data analyst shall report to the DC Activity Coordinator. 

Minimum requirements:

  1. Hold an BA degree in social sciences or related fields.
  2. At least 1 year of professional experience working in case management related issues (as social worker or as reporter).
  3. Demonstrate familiarity with case management principles, standards, procedures, and terminology.
  4. Good interpersonal skills.
  5. Excellent in computer skills, especially in Excel and database software.
  6. Readiness to commit and adhere to the values, mission, and vision of Human Access.
